I figured I'd share my thoughts from this morning's devotional as I figured it might help someone else here too. If you are looking for a daily devotional "Our Daily Bread" is one of the better ones I've read and I encourage you to check it out.

"And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

Colossians 3:17

If you have a very challenging, stressful, or seemingly menial job then this verse is extremely challenging. It requires a change of attitude and focus from the circumstances to the One who will carry you through the circumstances. This One, Jesus Christ, is the same one who gave Paul and Silas the grace to praise God while sitting in prison after being flogged, who allowed James to say "Count it all joy my brothers when you face trials and tribulations for they produce perseverance and a strengthening of your faith". 

Any job can be done in the name of Jesus, it's all a matter of on Who you focus in the midst of that job.
